Kaia's First Day of School at St. Finbar

Kaia just started school at St. Finbar. This was her first day. She is so happy with her new lunchbox and looked fantastic in the uniform. She's working on her letters, numbers, shapes and colors and really loves the new school. We couldn't be more proud of her.

Baptism

This past weekend Kaia and Zoë were baptized at St. Finbar Catholic Parish. Everyone had a good time although Kaia looked like she might laugh when Father Albert poured the water over her head. Zoë looked like she didn't mind at all. And I bet everyone thought I was just a heathen! Miss you all.

Zoë Getting Bigger

Aint she cute? She's starting to making cooing noises and smile. Kaia can't wait until she can play with her.

San Francisco Trip

Sorry for how long this post took. During my summer break we took a little trip up the coast. We visited Hearst Castle, San Francisco, and even stopped at the Winchester Mystery House. Enjoy!

Baby Zoë

Hope I didn't make everyone way TOO long. Little Zoë has made it home and she's doing great. We're all getting used to a crying baby again but all in all, everything is fantastic. I'll keep posting as she's getting bigger everyday!

Kaia's Birthday - Waaaay overdue

Sorry! With the close of last semester and my short break before summer school I just couldn't get myself up to posting. So at long last I present Kaia's ballet birthday. Enjoy!

Wedding In Yosemite

Last weekend Deanna and I were up in Yosemite for Deanna's good friend Amy's wedding. We stayed at a great mountain resort and enjoyed the snow that covered the ground Saturday night and Sunday morning. We barely had time to enjoy the sights of halfdome and Yosemite falls so I've definitely got to go back another time when our schedule isn't so tight.

Trip Downtown

I took the day off a few weeks ago to watch Kaia since her daycare was closed. We took a trip downtown to the central library and ate lunch in Pershing Square. It was a wonderful day.

Happy Easter

Kaia got to dye eggs over the weekend. She had lots of fun and made some really pretty ones. We all had a good time and a very relaxing Easter Sunday. Deanna made a wonderful dinner and I tried not to eat too much ham.

Kaia's school is closed this week for Spring Break so I'm taking Monday off and Kaia and I will spend the day together. Deanna has to go to work so for once I get to play while she brings home the bacon.

Catching Up

I've been really behind the eight ball in my posting. Let me try to catch up. Let's see, Deanna's dad and his wife Cheryl came over for a visit with Kaia.

I had two midterms and passed both. I did very good in Criminal Procedure and so so in Civil Procedure. No midterm for Property so I'm just plugging away getting ready for the final in a month.

Kaia is getting smarter and smarter. Now she can tell the difference between a meat eating dinosaur and a plant eating dinosaur and was naming almost all the animals on the Discovery show Planet Earth. Speaking of, if you haven't watched that mini-series, you should. Its probably the most amazing documentary I've ever seen and we haven't even finished it all yet. The hunt scene with the snow leopards alone is worth watching the entire thing. Well, that catches us up a little. More posts to come soon.

Happy Little Girl

Kaia's old Dora plate met an untimely demise as it fell to the floor and shattered into millions of tiny pieces. Okay, maybe not millions, but lots of little pieces. We made a quick run to the store and Kaia is now the proud owner of a beautiful princess plate.

It's a girl!

She seems to have a leg up on the competition already. It looks like a pretty good leg to me. Guess the myth that the Mousers have only boys is finally busted.

Happy Birthday Gwen

This blog is late...really late. We took Gwen to dinner for her birthday a couple weekends ago. That's how long it's been since I've last posted. We had a good time and ate way too much.

Sorry, I forgot to bring the camera to the restaurant. I'll catch up with the posts this weekend.

Another exciting weekend

...well, for some of us. Deanna and Kaia are going out with the girls. Deanna is getting a pedicure and Kaia is so excited that she gets to have her toenails painted. I on the other hand will be studying. Recurring theme here? I know, where's the violin. I did manage to find some time to catch up on the new season of 24 the other night so life isn't all work.

I still don't have a picture of Kaia in her new uniform but maybe I'll have it sometime next week. I just have to really bug Deanna to take the picture before dropping Kaia off at school. More to follow soon...

Breaking New Ground

Kaia started wearing her uniform today at school. She has khaki pants and some yellow, red and white shirts to wear with them. She's excited but a little sad she can't wear dresses to school anymore. I know this post is screaming for a picture but I haven't been able to get one yet. I leave the house while the girls are still sleeping. I'll make sure to follow up with a picture soon.

We made it through the Superbowl weekend and actually managed to squeeze in some of the game. I studied during most of it and Deanna switched between that and whatever else was on the W channel. Kind of a funny combination huh?

Valentines day is coming up and Kaia will be handing out cards to everyone in her class. Those were the days...Maybe I'll just give Deanna a card and box of candy hearts. It'll be like a junior high crush. That's romantic isn't it? Guys? Guys? Aw come one, someone has to back me up on this one!

End Of The Month Review

We're almost through January and everyone is still alive! We actually got a little rain this weekend. Kaia was playing most of the weekend while I locked myself in the back bedroom to read. Deanna seemed to feel a little better. Kaia has been talking about Mr. Lucky so I promised to put a picture up of the two of them. Deanna's mom brings him over sometimes and Kaia doesn't know that he's just a big wharf rat. Just joking, he's a nice little dog.

What's Happening!

Hey HEY hey! I've made it past another semester of law school and I'm still breathing. The month break went by oh too fast. This semester I'll be learning Criminal Procedure, more Property and more Civil Procedure. Wish me luck.

Deanna is trying to cope with another uncomfortable pregnancy. I wish I could do more to help her so I just keep my fingers crossed that the morning sickness will get easier as the time goes by. She's a trooper though and is managing to make it to work and even taking pregnancy yoga classes.

Kaia is doing fantastic as always. She's taking dance classes and looks so good tapping away. She's having fun with her new Christmas toys and dresses.
